this was a session i did while i was down in so-cal.
i met linda through the scrapbooking industry, where we served on a couple of design teams together. we formed a friendship over the years, and have spent lots of time on google chat, discussing our mutual love for paper, the dodgers, the shins, and the office.
i was so excited when she asked me to take her family photos, especially because she had recently had an adorable baby boy and i was dying to photograph him! we headed out to old town pasadena, and braved the almost 100-degree heat.
my favorites –
linda makes adorable sock monkeys, which she brought along as a prop:
e’s goal of the day was to blow a huge bubble…
isn’t this little guy the cutest?!
this one is probably my absolute favorite from the entire session:
and this one totally cracks me up!
mom and dad are totally adorable, too!
i hesitated in posting these for a while…a week or so after these photos were taken, linda became very ill and was admitted to the ICU, where she still remains now. she has spent most of the time unconscious and on a breathing tube, and has not made it out of the dark quite yet.
please keep this beautiful family in your thoughts.
Thanks for sharing, Caroline. Although I do not know Linda personally, I have seen her work at SISTV. I heard about her being hospitalized in the ICU. She will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers. Your photographs of her and her family are simply beautiful.
Lovely photo’s, what a great looking family. Although I do not know Linda, I hope she gets well very soon.
Such gorgeous photos. My thoughts go out to the family!
These are utterly wonderful, Caro. Man. I hate it that Linda hasn’t seen these yet!!! She will love them!
How is Linda doing now? I hope she is all well and back home with her family.
