sandy & leighton – engagement session – palace of fine arts, crissy field

a sweet couple + adorable dog + a lovely san francisco sunset = the formula for an awesome engagement session. i met up with sandy and leighton one sunday afternoon for their e-session, and the weather and light were perfect. it was just before sunset, and it was glowy and lovely!

sandy and leighton were so sweet, and completely into each other. they completely adore each other, and it was fun watching them be all cute to each other. they also brought along their dog, pepe, who is not only the cutest dog ever, but full of energy! it was challenging trying to keep up with him, but it was fun having him around!

these two are getting married in hawaii in the fall – i am jealous! they wanted a san francisco backdrop for their engagement pictures though, so we headed out to the palace of fine arts and crissy field, and got some shots with the bridge in the background.

deep and poorvi – engagement session – san francisco: palace of fine arts, crissy field

deep and poorvi are friends of both priti & ketal and shruti & kevin, who were two of my favorite couples that i’ve had the pleasure of shooting, so i knew i would be in for a good time. they definitely didn’t let me down! they were totally sweet and loving, completely into each other, and kept making me go “awww.” i loved the way they looked at each other, talked to each other, and kept making each other laugh. i love their expressions in each of their photos – you can tell how much in love they are!

we started over at the palace of fine arts, where we’d planned to do the majority of the shooting, however, the inside of the palace is closed for renovations. boo. we improvised though, and shot around the palace, and walked over to crissy field, taking advantage of the grass, trees, and beach. i had so much fun with these two and i have a ton of favorites to share with y’all…

i love the outfits they chose, especially in the grassy/trees shots over at crissy field. the orange TOTALLY pops against the green and looks awesome on camera. LOVE!!!

so we were shooting in these trees for a while…and all of a sudden i turn around and the sun had disappeared and it was starting to get kind of breezy and chilly. what the? gotta love fickle san francisco weather, sheesh.

i love how “in the moment” these grass shots are….

anna & katherine – sisterly love

i had the joy of capturing these two adorable sisters recently. i grew up an only child, but always wanted a sister. capturing these two girls really made me wish i had a sister growing up! i loved seeing the love between them. anna and katherine were in a completely giggly, playful mood and i loved capturing that side of them. it makes for some cute photos 🙂 we started off the shoot at crissy field – it was a cloudy, somewhat chilly day but the girls had no qualms about splashing around and playing the water – made me chilly just observing them, but they seemed to have fun 🙂

anna was wearing the cutest pink skirt, and it was just ASKING to be twirled in!

it was pretty cold that day, and the water must have been freeeeeeezing. but kids are kids and don’t care so much 🙂

we took a quick trip over to the palace of fine arts and ended the session there. the girls changed into these super cute pink flower dresses! love them!
